I had to have an overnight stop between the Bay Area and Vegas. I drove through Bakersfield once in the mid-80s and not since. So I decided to stop and see Suzanne Cornell. I had seen her last at Doris’s funeral, but knew nothing about what she had been doing for all these years. She came to my campsite and we talked, went to a brewpub (she doesn’t drink) and talked, and talked. I enjoyed learning what she’s been doing. She’s a strong, smart woman, with a strong faith to support her.
