On my second day in Loveland CO, I had dinner with my friend Bill Davis at Avery Brewing. You can read about that here. Unfortunately Bill was killed by a hit and run driver on Saturday June 25th.
Bill and I weren’t close friends, but he was the kind of guy that everybody loved, he was friendly, charming, and eternally optimistic. He was a talented and versatile bicycle racer, excelling in both off- and on-road racing.
I’m very glad I made the effort to get together with him while I was passing through town, and will always remember his smile.
