Reno, Auburn, and Home

I pulled up in front of my nephew Kenny’s house in North Reno about mid-afternoon. He was home taking care of his youngest son, Drake, who’s almost two. Kenny and Becca have three kids, but the older two Ashton and Carson were off visiting maternal grandparents, who live nearby.

Kenny expertly backed my trailer into a slot next to his driveway where I leveled it up for sleeping. Kenny, Drake, and I hung out all afternoon chatting and catching up on family news.

After sleeping in the trailer, and having coffee in the morning, I was off for home. An easy 4-1/2 hour drive over the 7,000+ feet of Donner Summit.

On the downhill run from the summit, I took a chance and drove into Old Town Auburn for lunch. I managed to parallel park the truck and trailer only a half-block from Auburn Brewing Company and headed in for a beer and a burger. ABC is noisy and crowded with tourists passing through town. They serve good food and good beer at good prices. What more can you ask for ;-)
